Vicky Kiss Karen Mok

At a recent press conference in Shanghai, members of the floor were…well, floored when VICKI ZHAO and KAREN MOK kissed in front of everybody! The girls had been asked how close their friendship was and answered the question with the random act. Well, we suppose actions speak louder than words…

REAL pf F.I.R Proposed

Concert-goers of Taiwanese rock band F.I.R’s recent concert in Taiwan got a whole lot more than they ever dreamed of, when guitarist REAL proposed to lead vocalist FAYE! Real whipped out a massive diamond ring and got down on one knee in front of 10,000 fans. Needless to say, Faye was surprised as she had been kept in the dark (oh, and she said yes). Congrats!

David Tao : No Glow Stick Please

DAVID TAO has set himself apart from all the pop star in the world – by asking his fans not to clap or wave glow sticks and light sticks during his gigs! While most singers actually like the audience to participation, this crooner reportedly said: “I don’t like it when [the audience] claps or waves glow sticks and light sticks during my concert, especially when I sing unplugged. The clapping disturbs me and my vocals and guitars can’t compete with 20,000 hands clapping. I also don’t know why fans like to throw glow sticks onto the stage at the end of the concert; they almost hit my face sometimes. Please stop it!” Err…..okay.

Show Luo Is The New King of the Stage

Singer SHOW LUO, often branded as the male version of JOLIN TSAI’, has followed the example of Jolin (Who by the way is rumored to be his girlfriend), incorporating pole dancing into his shows. And while Jolin has styled herself as a “princess,” Show is going one up on the hierarchy, calling himself the “king,” according to a new book titled Show on Stage. For his upcoming concert and new album, Show has also been putting in the hard work even going to New York to meet world-re owned choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson. Despite his broken English and the language barrier, Show still managed to communicate with his dance teacher, using – according to reports – simply body language. Wonder what that really means?

S.H.E. Bullies BOYS

At the recent Singapore’s Golden Bell Award celebration, both TANK and FAHRENHEIT revealed their unhappiness over being bullied by their seniors, S.H.E. Tank had gone on stage to help claim S.H.E.’s six awards as they were absent. When asked what the girls will do to thank him, Tank said : “Nothing at all. They think that this is something that should be done. As their junior, I’m very fortunate but it’s also very tough. Recently, I was a guest artiste at their concerts in China and I was “bullied” as though I was their “pet.” Fahrenheit chipped in: “We can last longer than TANK when it comes to being hit. Ella’s in charge of “bullying” everyone and Selina and Hebe will act as Ella’s behind-the-scenes generals. They love doing things to our heads.” Ouch!

Jolin Tsai Teams Up With Kylie Minogue

It’s the collaboration of the year! An East meets West partnership, and a much unexpected twosome. According to reports, Taiwan pop diva JOLIN TSAI and English pop princess KYLIE MINOGUE have teamed up to record a duet. An Asian version of the song “In My Arms”. The track will appear in the Asian edition of Kylie’s new album, titled X, currently scheduled for a 26 November 2007 release.

So did the two songbirds hit it off? Well, it wasn’t exactly the battle of the divas in the recording studios. Kylie and Jolin actually recorded the song separately, with Jolin saying she “imagined” Kylie was next to her as she did her part. That’s not to say the two wouldn’t have gotten along. After all, they do share an awful lot in common: both are prop princesses who started their career at a very young age, both became divas through the popularity of their dance music, both are pint sized, very sexy and have their own dolls (the Agent J dolls and the Kylie dolls). And both are Monkeys according to the Chinese zodiac!

Jolin did get to meet her “goddess: when Kylie actually invited her to the screening of White Diamond in London. Jolin was said to be so excited she insisted on making an appearance, even though the promotional schedule for her album was really tight and she was exhausted. When the two song tresses met, Jolin presented Kylie with a jade bracelet as a present, while Kylie gave Jolin an exclusive ticket of the preview screening and a warm hug. A huge Kylie fan, Jolin has even performed Kylie’s song “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” at the Gold Song Awards in Taiwan, which we’re sure Kylie was flattered to find out about. Jolin also reportedly watches Kylie’s concert DVDs so she can learn from the Aussie superstar’s sexy and glamorous stage performances. We can’t hear to hear the duet!

Brooke Shields Drives Into Her House!

It’s true, we swear it. “I really did drive into my house,” BROOKE SHIELDS laughed. “I was wearing these fabulous sort of kick-ass platforms. I slowed down to what I thought was a proper speed. I went to go put my foot on the break and I couldn’t get my foot off the gas because the wedge was completely wedged under!” She added: “I slammed on what I thought was the brake and it actually was the gas.”

Johnny Depp Snubbed

JOHNNY DEPP has no problem getting a table in some of the world’s finest restaurants but he couldn’t get a hot meal at a trendy British village pub. The star was turned away from the Fox and Goose Inn, Fressingfield, Suffolk, because he had not booked. But pub owner PAUL YAXLEY refused to comment on the snub, saying: “It’s inappropriate. We respect people’s privacy.”
