Is the actress using other men to get over (or get to) John Mayer? Rumours are rife in Hollywood that not only has JESSICA SIMPSON finally parted ways with JOHN MAYER for good; she’s looking for a hook-up with REESE WITHERSPOON’s ex , JAKE GYLLENHAAL.
Apparently, Jessica paid a secret visit to the Brokeback Mountain actor, who was staying at the BeverlyWilshire hotel in Beverly Hills at the time. The following day, she and Jake allegedly sent messages to each other for - get this - three hours! Hmm, wouldn’t it have been easier to just meet up?
An insider revealed: “Jessica doesn’t want another public relationship like she had with John Mayer, and Jake doesn’t want the attention after splitting with Reese Witherspoon, so they want to keep whatever this is a secret, at least for now. But they definitely like each other.”
Another report has even jumped the gun, claiming the couple is “in love and are expected to start going out together.”
Jake was recently dumped by Reese Witherspoon after she reportedly decided that she wanted to focus on her kids and didn’t have the emotional time and space for him. Is Jessica his rebound romance or is he hers? We wouldn’t bet on either, because…..
Jess has also been linked to former rumoured flame DANE COOK! The singer and actress set tongues wagging after she was spotted attending PRINCE’s V.I.P. concert in Los Angeles with him. Witnesses claim the two sat next to each other, whispering into each other’s ear and looking very close indeed.
“They were laughing, joking and hanging out. They pratically spent all night together, dancing and touching each other,” said an eyewitness. The two were briefly linked while shooting the film Employee of the Month together.
But while there is speculation that Jess might be turning to Dane in her time of break-up, there is another theory in play: according to a report, the 26-year-old hottie is using other men to make John jealous in the hope that he’ll come back to her!
