THE SINGER DISMISSES REPORTS THAT SHE IS WITH CHILD AND WILL WED SOONASHLEE SIMPSON has dispelled rumors that she is pregnant with boyfriend PETE WENTZ’s baby, and that they are engaged to be married. Just days after rumors swirled aplenty about how PETE got down on bended knee during the Live Earth concert; the singer wants everyone to know the truth: there is no truth.
A rep for the star has called the rumours”absolutely not true”, which disappointed us for a while because then she and NICOLE RICHIE, seeing as Nicole is reportedly also pregnant and engaged to JOEL MADDEN, could have become BFFs.
Reports had earlier cited of alleged engagements; “Ashlee wasn’t expecting it at all, it was a total surprise PETE whipped out a big engagement ring, dropped down on one knee, and asked ASHLEE to be his bride. ASHLEE says it was romantic, sexy – and that she said yes right away.”
A source is also quoted as saying. “ASHLEE and PETE are desperate to keep the engagement quiet for as long as they can so they can make wedding plans in peace. She definitely doesn’t want a big circus wedding like JESSICA had when she married NICK. All she wants is a simple ceremony with her family, his family and a handful of people.”
The Simpsons were allegedly keeping it all very hush-hush because of older sister JESSICA SIMPSON’s failed marriage to NICK LACHEY, or maybe they were keeping it quiet because there was no engagement!
As for the pregnancy rumors, ASHLEE herself reportedly triggered the tongue-wagging when she was spotted at a recent family wedding refusing alcohol and walking around rubbing her belly. We suspect indigestion…
ASHLEE and Fall Out Boy Pete have been dating since early this year, but given his penchant for partying and women, we don’t think we’ll be hearing wedding bells anytime soon.
