JOHN Mayer’s love life:-

It all began with JESSICA SIMPSON, who many thought would ruin his reputation as a serious musician. And perhaps it really did – until he finally broke up with her a year into their relationship. After going on-off for a while, the two called it quits in June this year.

Next up was good girl MANDY MOORE, who made headlines as john’s possible new love interest when they were spotted getting a bite – and getting friendly – at a trendy outdoor eatery in Manhattan’s SoHo area.

Reports at the time suggested “there could be a blossoming romance” but all the speculation fizzled out soon enough when Mandy poured very cold water on it all. When asked about the rumors, the singer and actress said: “Oh my goodness. John and I have been friends for years,” adding that “there is no romance.”

Her denials came right on time, because almost immediately after, John was spotted getting all romantic over dinner with actress CAMERON DIAZ at upscale New York French – Vietnamese eatery Indochine. (That was another one that raised ‘em eyebrows, it did)

JOHN GETS COSY WITH CAMERON

A fellow dinner was quoted as saying “They were playful and cozy. They drank cocktails and lingered over desert.”

The restaurant wasn’t the only place the pair got cozy, with an eyewitness dishing: “Cameron and John were strolling along the street hand-in-hand. They were nuzzling each other and looking besotted.”

A source revealed of dinner date: “This was technically not [John and Cameron’s] first meeting. They met years ago and have hung out together with mutual friends before. This was the first time they went out alone. It’s new and developing and they really like each other.”

That proved to be only the first of more sightings to come. That same weekend, the new coupling kept up their string of private get-together, as eyewitnesses called in the pair at the Bowery Hotel.

According to an onlooker 29-year-old John and 34-year-old Cameron were “all over each other” and “super flirty.” They were “laughing and talking a lot” as they sat together on a couch in the back of the patio and had the waitress bring them several rounds of drinks.

The following week, they were spotted together again….sharing dessert at a local eatery! A source said of the pair: “It looked like a casual date. She was giggly. She was laughing and seemed happy.”

Apparently, a leak from Camp Mayer has also confirmed the reports, telling journalist that the two are an item. “Yes it’s definitely true,” the source said. Reps for both John and Cameron have declined to comment, and we all know what that usually means when it comes to reps and no comment – it’s probably true.
